Pianist/Improvisor Joel Garten plays a passionate concert of his solo piano compositions, work that is intense yet contemplative; a meeting of Keith Jarrett and Morton Feldman. At the Nexus of experimental Classical music and avant-jazz, Garten creates heartfelt music that marries sonorous repetitive rhythms with dissonance in an intimate setting evocative of a studio. This concert celebrates the release of his new CD "In the Studio".
